Pennsylvania State Parks
Jones Township hosts two wonderful state parks:
Bendigo State Park
Bendigo State Park offers a 35' x 105' swimming pool, over 150 picnic areas with stone fireplaces or charcoal grills. The area also has horseshoe courts, and modern restrooms.
An old dam that once served as the swimming area at the park, now provides excellent fishing opportunities to the physically disabled.
The East Branch of the Clarion River flows through the park and provides excellent fishing opportunities and is stocked by the PA Fish Commission.
Elk State Park
Elk State Park and Elk State Forest offers 3,192-acres of some of the most rugged mountains of northern Pennsylvania and is located adjacent to the East Branch Lake.
The lake and nearby streams are stocked with warm-water and cold-water fish.
The area provides excellent hunting opportunities as well as several DCNR snowmobile trails.
A picnic area with charcoal grills and restrooms is located next to the boating area at East Branch Lake. To Learn more about Bendigo Elk State Park, go here.
