Jones Township will be hiring eligible college students through the Stackpole-Hall Foundation Summer Jobs Program. This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors pursuing a post-high-school education in all fields of study. Applicants must reside in one of the nine Elk County Townships (Benezette, Fox, Highland, Horton, Jay, Jones, Millstone, Ridgway or Spring Creek). Applicants are encouraged to attend one of their local monthly township meetings. Applications must be signed by one township supervisor and are due by APRIL 23rd. Scholarship will be paid directly to your college/university.
|Township Supervisors Meeting||Jones Township Board of Supervisors typically meet the second Tuesday of each month at 4 pm. (with the exception of the September 2023 and October 2023 meetings- meeting time is 7:15pm).|
Meeting dates in 2023 are: January 2; February 14; March 14; April 11; May 9; June 13; July 11; August 8; September 12; October 10; November 3; December 12; and January 2, 2024.
The meetings are held in the kitchen of the Community Center at 320 Faries Street in Wilcox. Meeting dates may be changed to avoid holidays or other occasions and will be advertised in the Johnsonburg Press.
